In the past couple of days I have been hit with the strongest desire to de-clutter. My mantra (at least for this week) is "get rid of it". My closet is getting some much needed breathing room and I feel as if a dead weight is being lifted from my shoulders. As I sort, I cannot believe that I 1. have kept some of this stuff for so long and 2. that I ever even bought it in the first place. Was I really that tacky? Did I really believe that I could pull that outfit off? As I fill up bags with unwanted items I wonder if this "purging" can trickle into other parts of my life. Does getting rid of physical baggage lead to throwing out the emotional baggage in your life as well? I'll keep you posted. In the meantime...how do you "get rid of it"?
